The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Mental Health Therapist provides compassionate, evidence-based, trauma-focused care to child victims of abuse and their supportive, non-offending family members. This role blends clinical excellence with multidisciplinary collaboration, ensuring children receive the comprehensive support they need to heal and thrive.
In addition to delivering high-quality mental health services, this position serves as a trained back-up forensic interviewer, conducting developmentally appropriate, legally sound interviews when needed. The therapist works closely with law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, and other MDT partners to support child abuse investigations and promote coordinated care.
Guided by the highest standards-including HIPAA, professional ethics, the National Children's Alliance (NCA), CACNC, and the Onslow County MDT Protocol-this role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about trauma-informed care, teamwork, and advocacy.
