    We're seeking a fluent English/Spanish Bilingual Forensic Interviewer to conduct developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed forensic interviews with children, collaborate with multidisciplinary partners, and play a vital role in child abuse investigations throughout Lane County.

    What You'll Do:

    • Conduct trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate forensic interviews with children using the Oregon Interviewing Guidelines.
    • Collaborate with law enforcement, child welfare, prosecutors, medical providers, and other multidisciplinary team (MDT) partners throughout the assessment process.
    • Document interviews, maintain accurate case records, and contribute to multidisciplinary case review.
    • Provide fact and, when appropriate, expert witness testimony in criminal and civil court proceedings.
    • Participate in ongoing training, peer review, and professional development to maintain best-practice interviewing skills.
    • Deliver outreach, education, and consultation to MDT and community partners on child abuse and forensic interviewing.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Fluent English/Spanish (required).
    • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience in child abuse, social work, counseling, psychology, child development, or a related field.
    • Ability to pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check and child welfare history check.

    Required Training:

    • Completion of Oregon Child Forensic Interviewing Training (OCFIT) is preferred; candidates without prior training must complete OCFIT prior to conducting any Forensic Interviews. The next available OCFIT training is October 26-30 in Eugene, Oregon, and selected candidates must be available to attend. 

    Hiring Timeline:

    • Application review and first-round interviews begin: August 14
    • Anticipated start date: October 19
