Children's Advocacy Centers of Pennsylvania (PennCAC) is adding a new position to its seven-person staff and is seeking an experienced professional to serve in the full-time role of Program Director.
Location: Pennsylvania, statewide role; travel required; remote/virtual with touch-down office in Harrisburg. Eligible candidates must reside in Pennsylvania.

About PennCAC
Children's Advocacy Centers of Pennsylvania (PennCAC) is the statewide chapter supporting and strengthening Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) across the Commonwealth. PennCAC works to ensure that every child who experiences abuse has access to high-quality, coordinated, and trauma-informed CAC services. Pennsylvania currently has forty accredited CACs, with many unserved counties in development. PennCAC offers year-round training, technical assistance, and growth and development support to CACs and developing programs across the state.
Position Overview
PennCAC is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and oversee core programmatic initiatives statewide. This leadership role supervises a team of program managers and ensures effective delivery of training, CAC growth and development, technical assistance, accreditation support, MDT and CAC engagement, and special projects.
The Program Director plays a key role in strengthening Pennsylvania's response to child abuse by advancing CAC quality, expanding access to services, engaging MDT members and using data to guide statewide priorities.
This position serves as a critical link between PennCAC and CACs across PA, with a strong emphasis on building relationships, understanding local CAC needs, and ensuring responsive, accessible support to programs in diverse communities across the Commonwealth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- · Supervise and support program staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- · Set program goals aligned with PennCAC's strategic plan and priorities
- · Serve as a key point of contact for local CACs, supporting proactive technical assistance, problem-solving support, and connection to PennCAC resources tailored to individual center needs
Program Oversight
- · Oversee program implementation, timelines, budgets, and grant deliverables
- · Ensure high-quality, consistent, and trauma-informed programming statewide
Training & Workforce Development
- · Support statewide training strategy for all CACs and MDT partners
- · Use data and feedback to continuously improve training offerings
CAC Growth & Support
- · Support development of CACs in underserved communities
- · Provide guidance on accreditation and continuous quality improvement
Special Initiatives
- · Support key initiatives, including efforts addressing Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)
- · Help identify and support special projects aligned with emerging needs and funding opportunities
Data & External Engagement
- · Use data to inform strategy, identify gaps, and report outcomes
- · Represent PennCAC with partners, funders, and statewide stakeholders
Qualifications and Applying
- · Bachelor's degree is required in social work, criminal justice, public administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in one of these fields is preferred
- · 7–9+ years of experience in child welfare, Children's Advocacy Centers, or multidisciplinary team work
- · 5+ years of supervisory experience
- · Experience managing programs, grants, and complex initiatives
- · Knowledge of the CAC model and accreditation standards
- · Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- · Experience using data to inform decision-making
Compensation & Benefits
- · Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience
